Band profiles.

Owen - drums.
I was raised on Britpop and discovered a world of different influences after playing in my teen garage band, Pogo.
I played bass but moved on to guitar after being inspired by all the guitar greats: Page, Hendrix, SRV etc. An interest in drums came later which is what I play in Born Wednesday now.
I respect and appreciate all genres of music, but I am at home with a guitar, bass, vocals and drums.
I couldn’t possibly tell you what my favourite band or album was as it depends on the mood but you can’t go wrong with the Stone Roses’ first album. Favourite gig is either Embrace at the Piece Hall (either one) or Stone Roses 2012 at Heaton Park.

Steve - rhythm guitar.

Favourite band? So tough as there's so much music I listen to.

I'd probably say, Metric, The War on Drugs, Within Temptation and Editors are some of my top bands.

Best Album : Lost in a Dream - The War on Drugs .

So many I could chose though.

Best gig, there's so many amazing gigs I've been to, but probably Editors at the Velodrom in Berlin

Paul - Bass.

Favourite band ever has to be The Beatles. I was introduced to them by my step-mum who had the red and the blue compilation albums. Watching all eight hours of Get Back just reinforced how great they were.

It’s difficult picking a favourite gig. One of my first gigs was the original line up of The Pretenders at Coatham Bowl Redcar. I also saw The Clash at Brixton in 1984, although Mick Jones had left by then.

I had a friend who was the singer in a fantastic Bradford band called The Sex Patels, who did covers of punk and new wave songs in a Bhangra style. I saw them at The Love Apple in Bradford many times.

The person I saw most often was Wilko Johnson, ex of Doctor Feelgood. I worked in London in the 80s, every weekend he’d be playing in a pub somewhere, with the great Norman Watt-Roy on bass. Happy days.

More recently Nick Cave was great at Leeds, as were the mighty Goat, when I saw them in Norwich.
